And there is no understanding without real knowledge of the glass art, its long journey, its birth, creation, rise and its own life, before the finished work or art is being introduced to our eyes. So few of us can sense the mystique of this work of art, so few know the complex process of glass manufacturing and the performance of the glassmaker, as a human being, who forms the fervid molten substance by his own breath, with his own lips, very often tears coming from his eyes, exhausted by the flames of melting furnace.
The role of glass in human life bears much higher purpose than any other substance no matter how expensive they may be. To love glass means to forget about night and dark, it is to raise ourselves to light and brightness, to look upwards into iridescent reflections and raybeams. It is to become more noble and brighter human beings. To love glass is to admire and value those features that form its everlasting value such as the soundness of substance and integrity of work. The immortal beauty of Czech glass lies in the fact, that the qualities of the glass are expressed in the qualities of the nation.
