With respect to the current situation with the coronavirus development, LASVIT came to the conclusion that it will not take part in the postponed Milan Design Week.
The organizers of the 2020 Salone del Mobile announced its postponement into June 2020. All the design events within the so-called Milan Design Week are being postponed into June as well. After serious consideration of all the aspects, LASVIT came to the conclusion that it will not take part in the postponed Milan Design Week.
Originally, LASVIT planned to present a new unique lighting installation as well as design lighting novelties at Tenoha Milan.
“Our decision is driven by the existing uncertainty about the situation and its development as well as the clearly lower willingness of people to travel. At this moment, it is almost impossible to predict what will happen within the coming three months, especially when we speak about the area considered which is currently not recommended to travel to. Keeping in mind all the facts and a “safety first” approach, we decided not to postpone our event and dismiss 2020 altogether,” said Leon Jakimič, Founder and President of LASVIT.
The company is going to figure out a new way of presenting the new products and design approaches that were planned to be revealed in Milan this year.
