Spanning more than nine meters in both height and width, the Oculus dominates the lobby's interior and casts a guiding light through the glass façade for those passing by. Reflecting the city's maritime legacy, the Oculus mirrors the function of a lighthouse, while its name evokes the eye-shaped beam of light reaching out to sea.

The restaurant pays tribute to the tradition of Chinese gardens. As soon as you walk in, you find yourself in the middle of a bamboo forest. The stylish Czech chandeliers are also installed in the kitchen, where the chef creates outstanding dishes. “Before cooking, there is nature,” says Alain Ducasse who holds 21 Michelin stars.

Plane trees affiliate the Paris hotel with its sister house in Hong Kong. They grow in both of the cities, otherwise so distant, so different. Connection through idea, idea made into image, image made into realization. Realization that there’s a motion always in progress.

The Peninsula Hotel

The idea was about how the space becomes an elegant frame for guests to rest and enjoy the magnificent views of the city. The floor is dark, and contrasts with the soft mirror-polished metal ceiling in champagne hues that features a bespoke chandelier by LASVIT. The surfaces reflect the city skyline throughout the space.

The chandelier is composed of tiny pendants made from triangular glass rods. These strictly angular pieces are reminiscent of the twinkling skyline after sunset. The same motif is used in LASVIT’s previous installation in the Hudson Yards Observation Deck. 

The lighting installation is designed in collaboration with Rockwell Group. The 10,000-square-foot restaurant and bar Peak will sit on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards, the development’s tallest tower. Not only does it connect to the 1,100-foot-high Edge sky deck below, but it also offers a chic design scheme and incredible 360-degree views on the surrounding cityscape.

Peak Restaurant and Events – Hudson Yards

The project was especially demanding, given its location in a seismic area. However, Lasvit’s expertise in crafting large-scale installations for challenging environments makes the project a testament to the company’s expert team’s know how and precision.


Seemingly humble glass rods can give birth to unexpected shapes and compositions. Every creative path opened by Lasvit’s timeless design Crystal Rods begins with just four different glass pieces and can be composed in four different styles. 

The composition, however, is always a unique process, a collaboration between the client‘s  taste and purposes.

The entry to the Taikoo Place Apartments tower is lined with petals – or at least that’s the impression from this unique lighting sculpture, composed of gently shaped glass. The amber and smoke tones fade into opaque and clear glass which support the earthy palette of the interiors. Each hand-blown element is individually shaped, adding to the organic feel of a sculpture that perfectly contrasts with the minimalist interior.

Taikoo Place Apartments

The majestic chandelier, suspended from the 13-meter (43-foot) cupola ceiling, is the first detail to catch one’s eye, as well as an element that sets the tone for the culinary experience about to take place. The lighting sculpture features 14 fan-like clusters, each up to 2m in diameter. The metal central spheres are surrounded by light-carrying glass rods.

The seemingly chaotic assemblage of metal tubes crowns the sparkling ceiling like a giant pendant. Under the hand-painted curved metal panels hangs this steampunk piece, which now and then releases steam clouds.  

“The whole object is a living, breathing organism – it pulsates, turns its light on and off, steam leaks from some tubes,” says the designer Maxim Velčovský.

We were looking for a simple design, taking inspiration from local culture, customs, and traditions. And so we took on the sound of the kkwaenggwari, the purity of Korean calligraphy, the bluish shimmers of the Hangang river, the waving branches of palm trees.

Calligraphy is about looking for perfection, and finding it. Pure and balanced lines, the divine letter. What messages you read in the light is entirely up to you.

Blue surface of the sea and silvery shimmers of the sun reflecting in its foamy waves. Birds in the wind, white sands. Billions of tiny droplets poured together into a single great infinity.


As if around a tree, one of the hotel stairways twines around the airy and delicate lighting body. Its lightness evokes the elegance of flowers.

Airy element is represented by a set of glass flutes of different length. Instead of music, these mirroring instruments stream light.

This exclusive installation which stands 16 meters tall draws the visitors’ eyes with its exceptional aesthetic and kinetic functions. 300 crystal pipes rise above the drawing point. Each glass component has its own light source, so both the installation and the drawing beneath it are fully illuminated. 

There are three engines connected to the pen-like structure from three different sides. They move with the whole installation, allowing it to draw into the sand below.

Our body is interwoven by a neural network. They transfer excitations, connect, and bring things and events to motion. It’s a universal communication. Like light. Like a song. Like a tone, when it’s heard in silence, making the sound waves flood the ambience. Like a light, when lit in the dark, spreads and changes all around it.

We keep shedding light around ourselves. Millions of our illuminated homes are becoming shining cities with universities for epicentres. From them springs the light of knowledge, together they make up the network of knowledge and light, expanding all over the planet.


Mammoth suns, giant galaxies and nebulae... infinity. And the moment perspective changes and we are no longer certain whether it’s still the universe in front of us, or the neural network of human brain.

Sofitel City Centre Hotel

Hall Arts Dallas is the only hotel located in the Arts District known for its museums and theaters. This district is home to some of Dallas’ most significant cultural landmarks, including facilities for visual, performing, and developing arts. Both LASVIT installations found their inspiration in nature, and here they become real objets d’art.

“The piece is more about the visual aesthetic – minimalistic subtle structure made of metal with a fine polished gold finish. It has just the right density and thickness to achieve lightness in this rather geometric and rigid raster,” says LASVIT designer Jana Růžičková.

Liquidkristal is the result of an innovative process that its designer Ross Lovegrove defines as “high precision heat transfer”, which imbues the glass surface with the beauty of optical effects seen in water. Lovegrove worked with LASVIT for more than a year to create these dynamic, changing surfaces, inspired by the fluid, organic forms found in nature.

Working with Lovegrove, LASVIT's research facilities developed a special flexible mold system in order to capture this effect. The finished product is highly customizable, allowing large-scale pattern aggregations over multiple sheets.

Liquidkristal serves as LASVIT's bridge to architecture. This innovative artwall works as artistic glass partitions, decorative screens, or glass curtain wall systems for facades. Applications range from interior glass installations to decorative glass walls and architectural windows that transform building design.

LASVIT’s St. Regis installation was inspired by the astonishing power of nature. Like a life-giving waterfall flowing through one of Mexico’s famous ancient sink-holes – the cenotes – this waterfall of glass refreshes the weary traveler and lets them bask in a pool of light.

St. Regis Hotel

Michaela Mertlová, the Lasvit designer behind "In Bloom," found inspiration in the unique contrast between Hong Kong’s vibrant urban landscape and its lush natural surroundings. Drawing on her two years of experience in the city, she designed an abstract flower that evokes a sense of movement, flowing through the lobby.

Showcasing the artistry and technical expertise of Lasvit’s team, the installation flickers and shifts with dynamic lighting, much like the flutter of wings or a heartbeat. With components of slumped glass with various finishes and ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 meters, the piece radiates energy, adding a dynamic layer to the building’s fluid design.

At the heart of "In Bloom" lies the symbolic dragonfly—an embodiment of wisdom, harmony, and prosperity in Asian culture. Its wings form a radiant, abstract flower, inviting contemplation and reflection. As part of The Henderson, a landmark that reflects health, resilience, and sustainability, this installation celebrates not only the building’s architectural vision but also the deeper qualities of balance and transformation, much like the city itself.

Symphony by name, the lighting sculpture is lit by nearly 3000 LED sources and sparkles with thousands of hand-blown crystal components. In its profound structure, it bears the symbolism of both the innumerable sand grains of the desert and water drops of the ocean.

The scent of French perfume is lingering above the passport control. Passengers hurrying to check-ins appear to be both excited and anxious. An old couple is gazing into each other’s eyes in silence after a long separation. All this reflects, mirrors, and gently flickers in the hundreds of glass pieces floating in the space.

We worked on the concept of lighting up the departure halls of Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and the Luxury class, as well as the duty-free boulevard, in collaboration with the client’s design team. Lasvit prepared two large and six smaller installations.

Designer Jana Růžičková offers passengers something like a transfer point of contact between the air and the earth. The Stratocumulus installation at Terminal 2 is inspired by the round shape of clouds and has a pleasant peaceful effect on travelers hurrying to their gates.

The massive clouds are close to Terminal 3 where you can find white dandelion flower heads in gusts of air flow. The same gusts of air flow that is transporting passengers like fluff across the world. And the white dandelion heads will soften the landing and welcome travelers with a comfortable embrace.

Shedding light to the dark depths is an age-long human desire. Korean female divers have submerged in the blue heart of the sea for centuries. They keep diving for food, exploring, mapping, disappearing. And it is this untiring endeavour, courage, and resolve of theirs the 17-metre long installation The Diver, floating in the interior of Lotte World Tower, is dedicated to. Designed by Maxim Velčovský, it consists of thousands of manually blown bubbles of glass mounted to a skeleton of steel.

“The idea was to get this sculpture, The Diver, consisting of 18 thousand glass balls, into the air. It is placed in the Lotte Tower, one of the tallest buildings on the planet, and upon entering, you see this six-metre diver, swimming above you.”

Take off to Tianjin and visit the atrium of the Intercontinental hotel. There you will find a lighting installation called Felix Stella sparkling above your head. Discover the beauty…again!

The galaxy is full of stars and to find the brightest one, you have to see the others. The milky way of small “crystal stars” designed by Katarína Kudějová Fulínová adorns the ceiling in the hotel lobby.

The piece consists of 110 real glass pearls, which wouldn’t be created without our glassmakers carefully breathing air inside of each one of them.

Rays of light, flights of photons crossing the Earth at unimaginable velocities and inconceivable trajectories. Straight lines of aircrafts heading to Hong Kong from all over the world. Lines of fate of women and men who come here to do business together.

From these intersections, these meeting points, light comes out.

It’s these intersection points the Concurrency lighting object celebrates.

The installations were assembled based on a formal computer-generated blueprint and then fine-tuned, so that the viewer’s brain could really perceive the bubbled constellation as a portrait.

Bubble-shaping is based on a simple dotting principle.  It reminds a game, where the child connects the dots on paper to reveal the picture.

These “glass paintings” show the faces of the Austrian Empress consort Caroline Augusta of Bavaria, the inventor František Křižík, the legendary Czech industrialist Emil Kolben and the actress Olga Scheinpfluge. 

The Empress gave Karlín its name and Olga Scheinpfluge was inspired on the streets of this neighborhood for writing her famous novel. Kolben built an industrial compound where now stands Forum Karlín, while so-called “Czech Edison” had his busting enterprise just blocks away.

Butterfly Business Center

Lasvit cooperated with Dubai based designer Khalid Shafar to create this unique lighting sculpture with focus on the beauty of the call to prayer. Silent Call presents shapes of five famous mosques. Lasvit offers the sculpture in several sizes.

Integrating time and motion for a function beyond the aesthetic, Shafar’s sculpture showcases the deep symbolism of the number five in Islam.

Silent Call

The gently looking installation which loosely mimics a cloud was created from 365 hand-blown glass balls, while 260 of them have a crackle sealed in the glass – each time they are a bit different, and every single one is an original. They seem like 260 fragile raindrops, each bearing its own universe within while falling towards the Earth.

Lasvit’s chandelier illuminates the grand atrium hall and underlines the overall design statement. Precisely-cut crystals are cast in fragile-looking rings although the grand installation weighs approximately as much as a new sports car. 

A total of 358 pieces of clear Bohemian crystal rods shine bright on 5 concentric rings.
