Quick Bio

Linda Šormová Melichová is a graduate of the Design Studio of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, to which she further added technical education in Milan. Her works favor the use of fundamental, simple shapes combined in elegant lines. In her earlier design items for daily use, created mostly in collaboration with home design studios, as well as in her works for Lasvit, she makes use of a structural approach. Her complex and well-conceived glass compositions, mostly created by multiplying components of simple but detailed shapes, are truly impressive.
