COOKIES POLICY

WHAT ARE COOKIES AND HOW DO WE USE THEM?

The www.lasvit.com website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your PC, tablet, or smartphone. Some of these files are necessary for optimal website performance, others help us to analyse websites, or allow us to provide a better user experience (remembering users and organizing website content according to their preferred interests, which facilitates user browsing).

These websites use both temporary cookies that are stored on the user’s device for the duration of the session only, and permanent cookies that remain stored on the user’s device depending on the set time of the existence of a particular cookie file.

Cookies may be set by the site you are visiting or by another site prior to or during your visit. These are known as first and third-party cookies.

First party cookies belong to the website domain that appears in the browser address bar. In our case, this will be www.lasvit.com and we may set these cookies when you visit in order to recognise you when you return.

Third-party cookies belong to website domains different from the one shown in the address bar. Some web pages can feature content from third-party domains (such as banner ads). This is why you might sometimes see a LASVIT ad on pages you visit after coming to our site. Other sites may also set cookies on your device during a visit to our site. These sites will be an approved partner of ours, such as Google analytics, Facebook Linkedin etc.

Generally, here are three cookie categories that we use:

  • Essential cookies: Essential cookies allow you to move around the website and use its basic functions. These cookies are essential for the use of the website and we do not need your consent to use them.
  • PreferencesPreference cookies enables the web site to remember information to customize how the web site looks or behaves for each user. This may include storing selected currency, region, language or color theme.
  • Statistical and analytical cookies: Statistical and analytical cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of users and collect information about how the website is used. We use this information to better understand how the website works and to to provide you with a better user experience and to maintain, operate and continually improve the website.
  • Marketing and advertising cookies: Marketing and advertising cookies record your visit to the website, other websites you have visited and links you have used. We use this information to display advertising on our or third parties website that is tailored to your preferences and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives.

What about other tracking technologies, like pixel tags?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, called pixel tags (or web beacons or clear gifs). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier permitting us to recognize when someone has visited our websites and track the online movements of website users. This helps us better manage the website by informing us what content is effective and improve the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, pixels are embedded on website pages. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
