Inspired by Labuan culture, the Manggarai language, and the region’s fishing traditions, the installation was designed to belong to its setting. Suspended in the main lobby, the glass sculpture blends with the surrounding architecture and the magnificent view beyond, extending the story of the landscape into the interior.
Composed as a school of fish, the installation enters into dialogue with the boat sculpture at the heart of the lobby, completing a story rooted in the sea. Among the glass fish, letters gradually appear, forming the word welcome — a subtle gesture of hospitality carried through light, craft, and local memory.
