As you enter The Langham, Jakarta, your gaze is drawn skyward – to Haven, an enchanting chandelier composed of over 3,000 hand-blown crystal butterflies. Inspired by the lush Indonesian rainforests where butterflies drift freely, this sculptural installation transforms the arrival lobby into a floating sanctuary of light and movement.
Suspended on nearly invisible wires and framed by a delicate champagne lattice reminiscent of a Monarch butterfly’s wing, the butterflies shimmer with every shift in perspective. Light and glass intertwine in a choreographed dance that creates a poetic landscape of weightlessness and wonder.
The journey continues 62 floors above the city, where a second, soaring chandelier illuminates the Sky Lobby staircase. Stretching ten meters high, this cascading sculpture becomes a beacon of light and craftsmanship. It is a vertical expression of Lasvit’s vision, crowning the hotel’s interiors with quiet grandeur.
