In Baar, Switzerland, Lasvit shaped a series of bespoke glass works for the Zug villa, created for multiple rooms and tuned to the green valley and lake light. From the formal sitting area to more intimate spaces, each piece gathers the day and warms by evening. The result is a living space attuned to its owners – a living proof that glass can shape a home that feels unmistakably yours.
Inspired by shimmers suspended in the air, Golden Partition evokes the warmth of home and the quiet glow of fire. To capture this feeling, three hundred hand blown components were hung in shades of light amber, smoke, and clear. Some remain transparent, others soften to opacity, a few are silvered inside and flicker like embers.
A crown of handblown Bohemian crystal spirals across the ceiling, its rippled leaves in amber and clear glass. Daylight from the wide window plays through the piece, reflecting the green sweep of the Zug valley. By night it warms to a gentle glow, gathering the room into a calm center for conversation.
